We develop our own technology, but our technology is also derived from activities within projects with our partners. Usually, our technology development within a larger project or consortium is performed in a pre-competitive manner. Available technologies fall in one or more of the following three research themes:
1) Interactions of food and health.
2) Bacterial resistance to anti-biotics.
3) Safety & efficacy of (natural) compounds and mixtures.
We have technology available for both biological and chemical research questions. Standard Life Sciences laboratory equipment and technology is available at our laboratory, e.g: recombinant DNA techniques, ELISA, flow cytometry, Western blotting, immunofluorescence/histology, quantitative real-time PCR, luminescence and fluorescence plate readers, cell culture, cultivation of bacteria, C. elegans laboratory. Chemical technologies range from basic chromatography and soxhlet extraction to liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry.
